Josh Tyrrell
Producer/ Engineer / Mixer
Josh Tyrrell is a much in demand producer for an exciting new generation of British music.
He represents all the qualities a modern producer and mix engineer should have. Active as a producer since Starting his career at the iconic Rockfield Studios in 2011, Josh has worked alongside many high-profile artists and producers, now returning to Rockfield regularly to engineer sessions and teach masterclasses. Josh has built up an impressive portfolio with the clients he has worked with.
In 2014, Josh travelled to Electric Lady Studios in New York, working on sessions with Lana Del Rey, U2, and Dan Auerbach.Moving to London in 2015, Josh worked directly for esteemed producer Trevor Horn at SARM Studios in London & Los Angeles. During this time, Josh worked alongside artists such as Seal, One Direction, Rita Ora, Anne-Marie, & Stormzy.
In 2018, Josh joined the in-house engineering team at Mark Knopfler's British Grove Studios in London. Recent album projects include Mark Ronson, The Who, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison Christine McVie, James Morrison, Mark Knopfler, Glyn Johns, Tony Visconti, and Feature Films & TV work such as Disney’s Aladdin, Adrift, Aeronauts, Our Planet, and Little Drummer Girl.
In 2020 Josh left British Grove to pursue a freelance career. He is currently working out of his Dalston London facility at the Total Refreshment Centre. The recording studio includes a large natural light performance recording room and a personal collection of Analog out board and Synths. And of course, Josh will take good care of the audio side. The studio offers a range of services from studio only dry hire to full production and everything in between. Josh has been involved in the creation of recordings and mixes of the highest fidelity. Catering for genres across the board. that have been featured on mainstream national and international radio.
