KIN is made up of model and theatre maker Grace Strickland de Souza (Klein Blue, Gracie Souz) lighting designer and photographer Michal Drozd and actor Adam Collier (National Theatre, RSC, Sydney Opera House) and their previous member was actress Ritu Arya (Umbrella Academy, Red Notice, Feel Good). Their work in theatre, film and the performing arts brought them together. As an independent band they have already been streamed over 400,000 times on Spotify without a label behind them. They have been featured in publications including Rolling Stone, People, Vogue, ELLE, Earmilk, Refinery29 as well as had global airplay including multiple features on BBC Introducing, RTE2 FM, Amazing Radio, RTM.FM and Soho Radio. Their music has also been incredibly popular on college radio stations across the USA, which has enhanced their American fanbase. The band has a rapidly growing and engaged social media presence with over 1.2 million followers across their individual and band accounts on Instagram.
Fresh from a UK tour (including sell-out shows at the Exeter Cavern and The Grace), KIN have performed at venues including Colours Hoxton (Charlie Ashcroft, Amazing Radio), The Victoria (Jaguarshoes Collective), The Grace (DHP), The Finsbury (Get In Her Ears), Folklore, and Tramlines Festival (The Library Stage). They’ve travelled to Chicago to play Reggies’ Live and to film a live session for DZ Records. Additionally they’ve been featured on MTV and the new online series Get On by Roobi.Live, filmed at the 606 Club. KIN are champions for diversity and inclusion in the industry and are part of many exciting projects including a monthly Instagram Live series called Tune In With KIN. The series aims to bring artists together to discuss the music industry and is helping to create a growing community of independent and diverse musicians. 2023 will see the release of their debut EP, Wide Awake.
